As a certified Sex & Intimacy Occupational Therapist, my goal is to help my clients engage in fulfilling, meaningful sex and intimacy. We will discuss your current relationship to sex, desires, dislikes, and goals. Through a client-centered approach by understanding your gender identity, sexual identity, how you process sensory stimuli (touch, smell, taste, sound, sight, pressure, proprioception and interoception), physical abilities, values, and beliefs about sex, we will work together to navigate the journey of creating a meaningful and fulfilling sex life.

Engaging in sex and exploring your sexuality can be a great way to learn more about yourself intrapersonally and interpersonally. Sex is categorized as an Activity of Daily Living and can utilize elements of Social Participation occupations and Health Management occupations. Sex and Intimacy occupational therapy works from a client and pleasure centered standpoint. Occupational therapists use a variety of techniques to evaluate and assess difficulties you may have during sex and intimacy and use our skills in understanding routines, motivations, activity analysis and adaptations to help clients reach their goals.

About Sex and Intimacy Occupational Therapy

What can be addressed:

Sex after an Injury or Illness

After someone is injured, has undergone medical treatment, or is recovering from an illness, there is typically no guidance on how to return to safely engaging in sex and intimacy.

Sex with a Physical or Intellectual Disability

There are many sterotypes surrounding sex and disability which does not mean they are true. We will address your desires and abilities and work with them to help you participate in sex and intimacy in a fullilling, meaningful way.

Sexual Satisfaction

As we age, lose or gain personal roles throughout life, and experience the variety of joys and stressors life brings, it can have an affect on our ability to feel satisfied in sex and intimacy. Together, we can create a plan to address these changes that may lead to decreased satisfaction.

Session Fees

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are offered for either individuals or partner(s) for as long as the client and therapist determine the need of services. Tiered payment options are offered in order to meet clients where they are at socioeconomically. Payment is completed by either debit card or credit card through the Telehealth portal. I do not work with insurance in order to allow the client and therapist to determine needs for services, not an insurance company. Being a cash-based occupational therapist allows me to stay community and client centered.

Supporter Tier - $150 ($175 with additional partner(s))

Standard Tier - $100 ($125 with additional partner(s))

Community Tier - $50 ($75 with additional partner(s))

At the end of the session you will elect which tier you would like to be billed under and be billed accordingly. Superbills can be provided monthly per request.

Before we begin, we will have a 15-minute meet-and-greet call and can determine if we are a good fit and will schedule our first session from there.
